Physical form: | Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. Target description: | TAF5-like RNA polymerase II p300/CBP-associated factor-associated factor 65 kDa subunit 5L (UniProt: O75529; also known as TAF5L, PCAF-associated factor 65 beta, PAF65-beta) is encoded by the TAF5L (also known as PAF65B) gene (Gene ID: 27097) in human. TAFL5 functions as a component of the PCAF complex that is capable of efficiently acetylating nucleosomal histones. The PCAF complex is composed of a number of TBP-associated factors (TAFS), including TAF5, TAF5L, TAF6, TAF6L, and PCAF-associated factors (PAFs), such as TADA2L/ADA2, TADA3L/ADA3, and SPT3. TAF5L, in conjunction with TAFL6, acts as a epigenetic regulator that is essential for somatic reprogramming. TAF5l/TAF6L are components of GNAT-HAT complexes. They regulate their target gene expression through H3K9ac deposition and c-Myc recruitment that ultimately trigger the Myc regulatory network for self-renewal of embryonic stem cells. TAF5L contains six WD domains in its C-terminal half. Two isoforms of TAF5L have been described that are produced by alternative splicing.
