Application: Anti-DGAT1 antibody produced in rabbit has been used in immunoblotting.
Biochem/physiol Actions: Diacylglycerol-acyltransferase 1 (DGAT1) converts diacylglycerol and fatty acyl-CoA to triacylglycerol. It participates in energy storage. DGAT1 plays a key role in cancer progression. Activity of DGAT1 is essential for the physiologic absorption of vitamin D. Absence of DGAT1 activity is linked with body weight and adiposity reduction, and increased insulin sensitivity. Aberrations in the DGAT1 gene are associated with congenital diarrheal disorder (CDD).
Biochem/physiol Actions: The antibody detects endogenous levels of total DGAT1 protein.

General description: Diacylglycerol-acyltransferase 1 (DGAT1), a transmembrane protein, is a member of the membrane-bound O-acyltransferase superfamily. It is seen in the endoplasmic reticulum of several cells. DGAT1 is ubiquitously expressed in humans. A high level of mRNA is seen in the small intestine. It has three transmembrane domains. The DGAT1 gene is mapped to human chromosome 8q24.3.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to a region derived from internal residues of human diacylglycerol O-acyltransferase 1
Physical form: Rabbit IgG in pH7.3 PBS, 0.05% NaN3, 50% Glycerol.

New Tariffs & Effects on Pricing

Tariff note: As we navigate the current environment of tariff surcharges and mid-year manufacturer price increases, we want to keep you informed. While we have avoided making specific decisions thus far, we anticipate that we will be forced to implement a cost adjustment policy to offset the fees we have already been absorbing. We are committed to transparency and moderation in this process.
