Biochem/physiol Actions: Monoclonal Anti- PP2A subunit B isoform PR55-α binds to rat, human and mouse PP2A subunit B isoform PR55-α. The antibody may also react with rat PP2A-B55-δ, human PP2A-B55-β and weakly associates with rabbit PP2A-B55-γ.
Biochem/physiol Actions: PP2A is a serine/threonine phosphatase that downregulates the MAP kinase pathway and subsequently modulates mitogenic signaling. This phosphatase also mediates cellular invasion, localization of Sgo1 at centromeres, cell movement, Ras-1 activation, and chromosome segregation. PP2A protein complex consists of a dimeric core containing subunits A and C; which in turn associates with the regulatory subunit B. PP2A subunit B is involved in the degranulation of mast cells . Monoclonal Anti- PP2A subunit B isoform PR55-α binds to rat, human and mouse PP2A subunit B isoform PR55-α. The antibody may also react with rat PP2A-B55-δ, human PP2A-B55-β and weakly associates with rabbit PP2A-B55-γ.

General description: Monoclonal Anti-PP2A subunit B isoform PR55- (mouse IgG1 isotype) is derived from the hybridoma 2G9 produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from BALB/c mice immunized with a synthetic peptide corresponding to a fragment of rat PP2A subunit B isoform PR55-. PP2A subunit B isoform PR55- (PPP2R2A) belongs to the phosphatase (PP)2A regulatory subunit B family. Protein phosphatase 2A is one of the major Ser/Thr phosphatases. PPP2R2A encodes an alpha isoform of the regulatory subunit B55 subfamily. This gene is mapped to human chromosome 8p21.2.
Physical form: Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.
