| Biochem/physiol Actions: | Sec23A (Sec23 homolog A) plays an important role in protein trafficking between the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus. It also participates in anti-tumorigenesis. Suppressing the expression of Sec23A induces multiplication, migration, and invasion of CRC cells (colorectal cancer). Mutation in SEC23A gene results in cranio-lenticulo-sutural dysplasia. |
