HABA Assay HABA is a dye with absorbance and Avidin-binding properties. When HABA is bound to Avidin, the complex absorbs light at 500 nm. When a biotin sample is added, the biotin binds strongly to Avidin and displaces the weakly bound HABA resulting in a decrease in absorbance relative to the amount of HABA displaced.
Immunohistochemistry Formalin-fixed; paraffin-embedded tissue section of human tonsil were stained with Monoclonal Anti-Actin, α-Smooth Muscle (Cat. No. A2547) followed by Biotin (Cat. No. B0529) and by 40 MUg/ml Streptavidin-FITC (Cat. No. S3762).
