Application: Lysozyme from human neutrophils has been used in the checkerboard method for establishing a synergy between peptidomimetic 1 and immune effector molecules against E. coli.
Biochem/physiol Actions: Lysozymes participates in the defense mechanism. It has the ability to stimulate catalysis by bringing steric stress in the substrates.
General description: Lysozyme is abundantly found in animal and plant kingdoms. It is a natural food preservative and also found to be present in specific bacterial cell walls. Lysozyme is usually present in tears, milk, urine and saliva.
Other Notes: One unit will lyse 0.6 μg of Micrococcus lysodeikticus per minute by turbidimetric detection at 600 nm when suspended in buffer at pH 6.2 at 25 °C.

New Tariffs & Effects on Pricing

Tariff note: As we navigate the current environment of tariff surcharges and mid-year manufacturer price increases, we want to keep you informed. While we have avoided making specific decisions thus far, we anticipate that we will be forced to implement a cost adjustment policy to offset the fees we have already been absorbing. We are committed to transparency and moderation in this process.
