| Application: | Anti-kindlin-2 antibody produced in rabbit has been used in western blotting. |
| Biochem/physiol Actions: | Kindlin-2 acts as a focal adhesion protein and controls breast cancer progression by promoting genome instability. Kindlin-2, as an integrin-interacting protein, plays a vital role in integrin activation and integrin-mediated cell-extracellular matrix (ECM) interaction. Kindlin-2 expression is associated with poor prognosis of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and pancreatic ductal adenocarcinomas (PDACs). Therefore, kindlin-2 can be considered as a potential biomarker for patients with HCC and PDACs. |

| General description: | Anti-kindlin-2 recognizes human, mouse, rat and canine kindlin-2. Kindlin-2, also known as fermitin family member 2 (FERMT2) or pleckstrin homology domain-containing family C member 1 (PLEKHC1), is encoded by the gene mapped to human chromosome 14q22.1. Kindlin-2 is a member of the kindlin protein family and has a ubiquitous expression pattern. |
| Other Notes: | In order to obtain best results in different techniques and preparations we recommend determining optimal working concentration by titration test. |
| Physical form: | Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide. |
| Preparation Note: | For continuous use, store at 2-8°C for up to one month. For extended storage freeze in working aliquots. Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. If slight turbidity occurs upon prolonged storage, clarify the solution by centrifugation before use. Working dilution samples should be discarded if not used within 12 hours. |
