| Biochem/physiol Actions: | Amyloid β A4 precursor protein-binding family B member 1 is a protein encoded by the APBB1 gene in humans and is mapped on human metaphase chromosomes to band 11p15. Fe65 is a neuronal adaptor protein that is involved in brain development, Alzheimer disease amyloid precursor protein (APP) signaling and proteolytic processing of APP. It participates in various processes by recruiting various interacting partners to form functional complexes and acts as a novel regulator of neurite outgrowth. Fe65 significantly alters actin dynamics and mitochondrial function in neuronal cells. |
| Biochem/physiol Actions: | The antibody does not detect endogenous levels of Fe65. |
| Immunogen: | synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acid residues 352-369 from mouse Fe65. |
| Physical form: | Solution in phosphate buffered saline containing 1.0 mg/mL bovine serum albumin and 0.05% sodium azide. |
