| General description: | Corning polystyrene roller bottles are treated for optimal cell attachment and feature superior optical clarity and seamless one-piece durable construction. Expanded surface roller bottles feature a ribbed design that provides twice the growth surface with the same exterior dimensions as 850 sq.cm. bottles. PET roller bottles feature optically-clear rigid side walls for optimal robotic handling and molded in graduation marks for easy volume reference. All bottles are certified non-pyrogenic and have individually printed lot numbers to aid in product traceability. Vent cap roller bottles are available for applications requiring continuous gas exchange. Bottles are sterilized by gamma radiation. Strap packaging facilitates large volume roller bottle handling. |
| General description: | Standard Corning polystyrene roller bottles are surface modified for improved cell attachment using a traditional gas-plasma treatment. This generates highly energetic oxygen ions which graft onto the surface polystyrene chains so that the roller bottle surface becomes hydrophilic and negatively charged so cells can better attach. |
