| Biochem/physiol Actions: | CRTH2 (chemoattractant receptor-homologous molecule), is known as the putative G protein-coupled receptor (GP44), is expressed on T helper 2 (Th2) cells. It is also referred as DP2, DL1R and CD294. It′s a human protein and belongs to G protein-coupled leukocyte chemo attractant receptor family. It is not expressed on human amniocytes or myocytes. On activation of CRTH2, PGD(2) induces human osteoclast apoptosis and the apoptosis intrinsic pathway. CRTH2, CD4 and T cells all together may be involved in the pathogenesis of IgG4-related Lacrimal gland enlargement (LGE) causing Mikulicz′s disease (MD). |
