Enhanced Validation-By Recombinant Expression Antibody recognition: Anti-ATP13A2 antibody produced in Rabbit (Cat. No. A9607) is confirmed by western blot in the cell sample that has been altered to overexpress the target protein-HEK-293T over expressing ATP13A2 (Lane 1) while no staining is detected in the wild type sample-HEK-293T (Lane 2). The antibody was developed with Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG, Peroxidase conjugate (Cat. No. A0545) and a chemiluminescent substrate. Antibody dilution: 1.5 μg/mL.
Immunoblotting Cell and tissue lysates were separated on SDS-PAGE, probed with 1.5 μg/mL Anti-ATP13A2 (Cat. No. A9607) and developed using Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG-Peroxidase (Cat. No. A0545) and a chemiluminescent substrate. Lanes 1. Mouse brain extract (cytosolic S1 fraction) 2. HEK-293T overexpressing human ATP13A2 3. HEK-293T untransfected 4. Mouse brain extract (cytosolic S1 fraction). Antibody + ATP13A2 immunizing peptide (human, 195-213)

Biochem/physiol Actions: Mutations in the gene encoding ATPase type 13A2 (ATP13A2) is implicated with a hereditary form of PD associated with dementia, known as Kufor-Rakeb syndrome (KRS). ATP13A2 shows elevated expression levels in brains of sporadic PD patients, suggesting a potential role in the more common forms of Parkinson′s disease.
