| Application: | Albumin, Tetramethylrhodamine isothiocyanate has been used: • in photoinduced release assay of polyethylene beads • for passivating poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) layer prior to immunoglobulin G coating • in fluorescent correlation spectroscopy |
| Application: | Red-fluorescing TRITC-albumin was used to track the uptake of calcium phosphate/DNA nanoparticles during cell transfection. The dye-linked albumin is incorporated into the nanoparticles. Efficiency of transfection could be followed by fluorescence microscopy. |
| General description: | Tetramethylrhodamine isothiocyanate (TRITC) is stable and less sensitive to light compared to fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC). The conjugate of albumin with TRITC is effective for following microcirculation in vivo microscopy. Albumin-TRITC aids tracking of calcium phosphate nanoparticle bound DNA in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (T-HUVEC). |
