SIGMA/17951
Synonym: IEF-Marker-Mix fluorescent for CE and Gel Electrophoresis
MDL Number: MFCD03456831
Product Type: Chemical
application(s) | cleaning products cosmetics flavors and fragrances food and beverages personal care |
form | liquid |
Quality Level | 100 |
storage temp. | 2-8°C |
Application: | Suitable as IEF-Marker for HPCE and for IEF-gels |
Other Notes: | Mixture of 5 fluorescent IEF-Markers: pI 4.0, 5.5, 7.2. 7.6, 9.0 in 5 mM HCl:2-propanol (1:1), filtered through a 0.45 μm membrane filter. |
Reconstitution: | For use in HPCE the marker mix should be diluted 1:100 in a suitable ampholyte solution (e.g. 2% ampholyte 3-10), UV-detection at e.g. 280 nm (20 °C). The maximum absorbances of the individual markers are between 308 and 350 nm. For fluorescence detection use an excitation wavelength of 310 nm (individual excitation maxima: 310 to 360 nm); the emission maxima of the individual markers will lie between 412 and 440 nm. For use in IEF-gels the marker mix can be loaded directly onto the gel (max. 1 μl per lane). The fluorescent bands are visualized directly at the end of focusing by UV light illumination (254 or 300 nm). During gel staining (for protein visualization) the fluorescent bands are lost. |
