| Application: | Endotoxin tested |
| General description: | The animal serum is generally used as a supplement in basal media formulations for the optimal growth of various cell types in vitro. Iron-fortified bovine calf serum (IF-BCS) is obtained from 4 - 6 months old formula-fed calves. IF-BCS is preferred as a cost-effective substitute for fetal bovine serum (FBS) in several applications. |
