Application: Manganese(II) sulfate monohydrate may be used to assist the oxidation of arenes and sulfides by potassium permanganate.
General description: Manganese(II) sulfate monohydrate (MnSO4·H2O) is a hydrated manganese salt. The neurological response caused in rhesus monkeys due to MnSO4 exposure have been studied. The limiting molar conductance and association constant of MnSO4 dissolved in aqueous N,N-dimethylformamide have been determined. The solubility, binary interaction parameters and solubility parameters were obtained for aqueous solution containing manganese sulfate monohydrate and magnesium sulfate.
