Application: 1-Methyl-2-pyrrolidinone (NMP) has been used as a solvent to study the dispersion ability of acrylate polymers for graphene. It has also been used for the fabrication of working electrodes for electrochemical measurements in a study.
General description: 1-Methyl-2-pyrrolidinone, a tertiary amide, is widely employed as an organic solvent. It participates in the sonochemical synthesis of high quality MOF(Metal-Organic Framework)-177 crystals.
It also participates in the following:
• synthesis of cyanotrimethylsilane
• decarbonylation of aldehydes
• reduction of benzaldehydes and ketones to the corresponding alcohols
• preparation of natural products
