Application: | Suitable for LC-MS derivatization. DNSH has been used for the analytical derivatization of malondialdehyde prior to its determination in human plasma by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS). It may be used as a derivatization agent for thujone prior to its determination in white Italian vermouth samples by reversed phase LC with fluorescence detection combined with tandem MS and as a fluorescent label for the quantification of neuroactive steroids, alphaxalone and pregnanolone in plasma by isocratic reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC). |
General description: | Dansylhydrazine (DNSH) is a fluorescent reagent which is commonly utilized for derivatization of carbonyl compounds. |
