PCR Nucleotide Mix
Stability of Roche nucleotides. PCR Nucleotide Mix was exposed to 25 thermal cycles. Afterwards, enzyme, template, and primers were added, and PCR was performed for an additional 25 cycles. Lanes 1. control reaction using 1 ng λDNA 2. molecular weight marker 3. 1 ng λDNA 4. 0.1 ng λDNA 5. 0.01 ng λDNA 6. molecular weight marker Result: The intensities of the product bands in lanes 1 and 3 are equal. This indicates that there was sufficient nucleoside triphosphate in the mix to support efficient PCR, even after the nucleotides were pretreated for 25 thermal cycles.
