General description: Chlorophenol red-β-D-galactopyranoside (CPRG) is a long-wavelength dye which is commonly used for colorimetric assays. The reaction product has a dark red color and is soluble in water. It can be evaluated photometrically at 574 or 578 nm.
The chemical formula on the label represents the monosodium salt.
Other Notes: CPRG is an approximately 1:1 mixture of the isomers.
