Application: Indium foil is thermal interface material with high conductance that is used in cryogenics. It can also be used as indium vapor source for the preparation of indium nitride nanowires on a silicon substrate. It may also be used in the time of flight secondary ion mass spectroscopy (ToF-SIMS) for the analysis of powder samples.
General description: Indium (In) is a silvery-white post-transition metal known for its low melting point and unique properties. It has a density of approximately 7.31 g/cm3 and is characterized by its malleability and ductility, making it easy to work with in various applications. Indium is widely used in electronics, particularly in the production of indium tin oxide (ITO) for touchscreens and flat-panel displays. It also plays a role in soldering materials, coatings, and as an alloying agent to improve the properties of other metals. Our high-purity indium foil, with a thickness of 0.127 mm and a purity of 99.99% trace metals basis, is particularly valuable for applications requiring minimal impurities.
