Thermometer is switchable between °F/°C. It provides the answer in the exact unit the test requires without conversion factors. Wide range of -58 to 302°F/-50 to 150°C covers 90% of lab temperature measurements. Digital resolution of 0.1° from -20 to 200°; 1° outside this range. Accuracy is ±0.2°C for 291-4374 or ±1°C for 291-4049 and 291-4355 between -20 and 100°C. Readings are updated every second. Probe is resistant to acids, bases, solvents, and most laboratory chemicals. Its piercing tip makes it perfect for measuring temperatures of semi-solids. Plastic-and-stainless-steel construction (no glass or mercury) makes it safer than mercury thermometers. This instrument is traceable to NIST standards.
Extra-large, bright 0.4-inch-high LCD display is easy to read. Stem length is 5-1/4"; stem diameter is 0.14" and top diameter is 2-1/8". Overall length is 6-1/2". Weighs less than 1 ounce. Supplied with silver-oxide battery and Traceable® Certificate. Replacement battery Cat.No. 291-1039.
