In addition to non-evaporative applications like vacuum filtration and solid phase extraction, the MZ2C NT+2AK oil-free diaphragm vacuum pump is a popular choice for a variety of heated evaporative applications, including drying ovens, gel dryers, and rotary evaporators. Its oil-free, corrosion-resistant design make it an excellent choice for labs seeking to power a variety of vacuum applications. Compact and whisper-quiet, it builds on the popular MZ2C NT diaphragm vacuum pump with inlet and outlet cachpots, which enhance performance with condensible vapors, and recover solvent. Pumps are also equipped with a quiet, reliable gas ballast to protect performance from condensed vapors.

  • The high flow rates of this pump at working vacuum shortens process times by as much as 40% compared to vacuum pumps with similar specifications. This improved performance increases throughput and lab efficiency.
  • Like most Vacuubrand® vacuum pumps, the MZ2C+ 2AK is built with PTFE diaphragms and a fluoropolymer flowpath for excellent corrosion resistance to most solvents. Catchpots are made of borosilicate glass. Many applications do not require a cold trap!
  • Unlike rotary vane vacuum pumps, this oil-free vacuum pump completely eliminates the misting, handling, and disposal of contaminated pump oil. Furthermore, its unique design ensures years of use before the first scheduled maintenance in most lab applications, vastly reducing maintenance downtime.
