&GO™ PCR Mastermixes contain all the components for PCR except for template and primers. This not only saves valuable time in the laboratory, but also reduces the risk of pipetting and reagent handling errors.
Each Mastermix is provided in a 5X concentration concentrated and is designed to provide 1 U of thermostable DNA polymerase per 50 µl reaction. To prepare the final reaction mix, simply add 10 µl of &GO™ PCR Mastermix 5XC to a 40µl volume containing template and primers (or add 5 µl to a 20 µl volume).
&GO™ PCR Mastermixes are stable for over one year at 4°C and should be kept in a refrigerator. Refrigerator storage is not only convenient but avoids the commonly encountered problem of component degradation following repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Unit definition: one unit is the amount of enzyme required to catalyse the incorporation of 10 nmol of nucleotides into a DE81 adsorbable product within 30 min at 74°C under assay conditions.
Taq-&GO™
Taq-&GO™ is a 5X PCR Mastermix containing Qbiogene's recombinant Taq DNA polymerase (1 U per 50 µl PCR reaction).
