S3 Solvent Saver System
Designed specifically for LC and HPLC, the microprocessor controlled S3 Solvent Saver System detects when eluent output exceeds an allowable level. The system shunts excess contaminants to waste until the output drops below the programmed level, then allows the uncontaminated solvent to pass to the storage container.
The S3 allows programming to a 1% precision for the set baseline and levels. For refractive index detectors, the system can be programmed to both positive and negative levels. The digital display indicates output relative to the baseline and registers when eluent is being sent to waste. Detector input is selectable for 10 millivolt or 1 volt full scale. The level of hysteresis can also be adjusted to compensate for a noisy system.
The diverter valve can be operated manually and comes with a bracket for remote mounting. The Q.A. validation system records events and checks the actual valve status. Maximum pressure is 30 psi, with a drop of 5 psi at 120mL/min using approximately eight inches of 1/16" I.D. tubing. 100/115V, 50/60Hz.
