1200°C max. temperature and 864 cu.in. capacity
The Type F6000 furnaces are general purpose laboratory and heat treating furnaces. For optimum element life, Barnstead International recommends observing these temperature ranges: from 100°C (212°F) to 1093°C (2000°F) continuous use or from 1093°C (2000°F) to 1200C (2192°F) for intermittent use. Continuous use is operating the furnace for more than 3 hours and intermittent use is operating the furnace for fewer than 3 hours.
Digital single set point control with a single ramp to set point and a dwell. A single display shows actual temperature or set point. The furnaces that use this control also utilize a mechanical Over Temperature Protection relay. Door safety switch protects operator by removing power to the heating elements upon opening the door. Thermocouple break protection cuts power to the heating elements, prevents a thermocouple failure runaway condition.
Four temperature controller models:
- A1: Digital single set point control. A single display shows actual temperature or set point. (Models 16-F6010, 16-F6018)
- B1: c (Models 16-F6020C-33, 16-F6020C, 16-F6028C)
- C1: Digital programmable control with one stored program of 8 segments. The furnaces that use this control also utilize a mechanical Over Temperature Protection relay. (Models 16-F6020C-33-80, 16-F6020C-80, 16-F6028C-80)
- D1: Digital programmable control with 4 stored programs, 16 segments per program. The controller also includes RS232 communications. The furnaces that use this control also use a mechanical Over Temperature Protection relay. (Models 16-F6030CM-33, 16-F6030CM, 16-F6038CM)
Models F6010 and F6018 are supplied with cord and plug set, all others require conduit connection. 208 V; 4000watts. Supplied without cord and plug; requires conduit connection. 24 month warranty.
Four heating elements are located on top, bottom, and sides of chamber for enhanced temperature uniformity. Built-in vent port removes undesirable contaminants and moisture; extends the life span of the element and unit. The rear of the chamber incorporates a 0.38" (0.95 cm) diameter port for monitoring chamber temperatures with independent measuring devices. Optional stainless steel shelf doubles load capacity (maximum temperature of 900°C).
