High quality nylon membranes are suitable for filtering aqueous solutions and most organic solvents and for vacuum degassing. The membranes are suitable for use with a wide range of biological preparations and can be used where other membranes are unsuitable or difficult to use.
Nylon membranes are hydrophilic, eliminating the need for wetting agents that could be extracted when filtering aqueous solutions. The membranes are flexible, durable, and tear resistant. High protein binding and good solvent resistance. Autoclavable at 121°C.
The 0.2 µm and 0.4 µm membranes are 150-187 µm thick; the 0.8 µm membranes are137-200 µm thick. Maximum temperature 135°C.
