Collagen I, found in most tissues and organs, is most plentiful in dermis, tendon, and bone. It is an integral part of the framework that holds cells and tissues together and has been recognized as a useful matrix for improving cell culture. In vitro use of collagen can exert effects on the adherence, morphology, growth, migration, and differentiation of a variety of cell types.
Corning BioCoat™ Collagen I Cellware offers tissue-culture vessels with a uniform application of rat tail collagen type 1. It improves cell attachment and increases proliferation rates for a variety of normal and transformed mammalian cell types.
Multiwell Plates are manufactured using a crystal grade polystyrene and feature a patented labyrinth lid, condensation rings, and deep well design to control contamination while reducing evaporation and minimizing edge effects.
