These Corning® polystyrene microplates feature round wells with flat bottoms that are 60% thinner than conventional polystyrene plates, resulting in lower background fluorescence and enabling readings down to 340nm. Black plates have low background fluorescence and minimize light scattering while white plates enhance luminescent signals and have low background luminescence and fluorescence. Both colors are designed with opaque walls to reduce well-to-well crosstalk. Optically clear flat bottom permits direct microscopic viewing; can be used for both top and bottom reading instruments. Standard well volume for flat bottom plates is 360µL, with recommended working volumes of 75 to 200µL. Half Area microplate has well volume of 205µL with recommended working volumes of 25 to 100µL. Plates are sterilized by gamma radiation and are certified nonpyrogenic. Nonreversable lids with condensation rings to reduce contamination.
