384-Well Flat Bottom Polystyrene Plates, Corning®
By Corning®These plates from Corning® feature flat bottomed round wells with 112µL total volume. Recommended working volumes of 20 to 80µL. Nonreversable lids with condensation rings to reduce contamination. Sterilized by gamma radiation and certified nonpyrogenic. Individual alphanumeric codes for well identification. Corning® 384-well polystyrene microplates have plate dimensions (L x W x H) of 127.76 x 85.48 x 14.22mm that meet microplates industry standards. The black-walled plates have low background fluorescence, minimal light scatter, and reduced crosstalk while the white-walled plates enhance luminescent signals and have low background luminescence and fluorescence. Both black and white opaque walls prevent well-to-well crosstalk. The choice with the optically clear flat well bottom permits direct microscopic viewing and can be used for both top and bottom reading instruments.
The Optical Imaging option (Cat.No. 83-3985) is ideal for whole cell or subcellular high content screening. Can be used with high throughput confocal imagers, and has been optimized with the Amersham InCell 3000 Analyzer. Ultra flat thick well bottom is designed for high throughput imaging by minimizing microscope refocusing from well to well.
The Low Volume option (Cat.No. 83-3542) is ideal for miniaturized 384-well fluorescent homogenous and cell based assays. 50µL total well volume, with recommended working volume of 5-40µL. High base plate design is compatible with automation and for bar coding. Validated by Molecular Devices for the FLIPR® reader. Outer wells aligned for proper viewing with FLIPR®. 2.8mm distance between well bottom to plate bottom. Reduced wicking with round well design.
