Vials engineered to withstand the most adverse conditions. Inert LN2 grade polypropylene ensures critical sample viability at temperatures from +121°C down to -196°C (LN2 vapor phase-these tubes are not designed to be used in liquid nitrogen).
Closure has a full two-turn precision thread and vial thread is external. Unique closure design assures that tightening the cap compresses an ethylene-propylene O-ring uniformly against a beveled seat on the tube edge for a secure seal. Screw cap eliminates aerosol cross-contamination possible with snap cap microtubes. Uniform, thick-walled construction with reinforced support collar allows high speed microcentrifugation to 17,000 x g. Caps have a conical base, except Cat.No. 279-BS20NA-BP which has a skirted base.
Use also for a variety of other biotechnology applications, including collection, processing, transportation and storage of samples.
Molded-in volume lines. Autoclavable in the upright position with the caps loosened.
Natural colored polypropylene vials are packaged in bags of 500 and sold either with natural color polyethylene caps (in bags of 500) or with caps of ten different colors-white, gray, pink, red, yellow, orange, green, blue, violet and brown-each color bagged separately.
