Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate (SDS) Solution 20% (w/v)

This multipurpose, anionic detergent can be used for protein solubilization, plasmid extraction from bacteria, and to reduce non-specific binding during nucleic acid hybridization on membranes. This solution is provided in a convenient ready-to-use format that overcomes the need to handle powdered SDS, which is a known irritant. At low temperatures the SDS solution may precipitate; warm at 37°C for complete dissolution.

Chloride: < 0.1%
Phosphate: 0.0005%
RNAse, DNAse, Protease free

Storage: room temperature
