These plasma-treated tissue culture flasks are made of high-quality polystyrene for optical clarity and distortion-free examination. The vacuum-gas plasma treatment ensures a consistent growth surface providing optimum cell attachment and maximum yield. Straight-neck and canted-neck flasks are supplied with several easy on/off cap styles are suited to your application:
- Plug seal caps provide a liquid-tight seal when closed and an open incubation position for reliable gas exchange when partially opened.
- Vented caps allow consistent gas exchange through a 0.2µm hydrophobic membrane when the caps are in the closed position. Gases required for cell growth and metabolism pass freely through the vent while microorganisms cannot.
- Lined, phenolic caps are available for long-term cultures. The rigid cap material allows the cap to be easily spun onto the neck during repetitive manipulations. Phenolic caps have nontoxic liners.
Available untreated, standard TC-treated and with Primaria™, which is a unique, nitrogen-containing tissue-culture surface chemistry.
Flasks are manufactured under a registered ISO 9002 quality system. Flasks feature volumetric graduations and writing patch and are sterilized by gamma radiation. Nonpyrogenic.
