For large volume filtration
These disposable capsule filters incorporate a range of membrane materials for safe economical filtration of a wide range of solutions and gases. All use biosafe materials and pass the USP Class VI Plastics tests.
Pall Gelman certifies these filters for cell culture media sterilization applications. This cell culture certification ensures that the filters will retain a bacterial challenge of pseudomonas diminuta, 107 organisms/cm2, per the modified ASTM F838.83 methodology.
Sterilized polycarbonate capsule filter specifically designed for sterilization of up to 20 liters of cell culture media. This nonpyrogenic and noncytotoxic capsule incorporates two layers of 0.2µm low protein-binding HT Tuffryn® polysulfone membrane and provides an effective filtration area of 500cm2. Endotoxicity for the Culture Capsule is less than 0.5 EU/mL using the Limulus Amebocyte Lysate (LAL) test.
Cell culture certified and gamma radiation sterilized. If desired, autoclave once at 121°C for 20 minutes at 1.1kg/cm2. The Culture Capsule has polycarbonate housing and a polypropylene core. Hose barb inlet and outlet connections accept 1/2" I.D. tubing. Typical water flow rate at 0.7kg/cm2 is 2.0Lpm. Fluid retention is 25µL. This unit is also available with filling bell attached.
