Bottles are manufactured from virgin polystyrene; caps from high density polyethylene. 340 -510mL recommended medium volume. Both resins meet the USP Class VI requirements for plastic containers and closures. Treated for optimal cell attachment. One piece seamless construction with printed graduations. Printed lot numbers to aid in product traceability. Sterilized by gamma radiation and certified nonpyrogenic.
Corning recommends 0.2 to 0.3mL of medium per cm2 of growth area and setting roller rack speeds to provide 0.5 to 1.0 rpm. Easy grip cap features large knurls designed for ergonomic handling. Neck O.D. 48mm. Cat.No. 83-431191 has an easy grip vent cap designed for applications requiring consistent gas exchange.
Cat.No. 83-431134 is treated with a Corning® CellBIND® surface treatment for enhanced cell attachment. This cell culture surface may eliminate the need to use poly-D-lysine or other coatings to improve cell attachment. Improves cell attachment leading to increased cell growth and yields. Results in more consistent and even cell attachment. Helps adapt cells to reduced serum or serum-free conditions. Reduces premature cell detachment from confluent cultures. Not a coating, requires no refrigeration or special handling and is stable at room temperature. Can be handled with the same techniques as standard tissue culture treated products.
