Excella® temperature-controlled shakers are available with choice of incubation only or incubation with added refrigeration. Designed for larger-capacity needs, console-styled E25 and E25R models accept flasks up to 6 liters and accommodate as many as (12) 2 liter flasks. Temperature range for E25 is 7°C above ambient to 60°C and 15°C below ambient to 60°C for E25R. Minimum setpoint 4°C. Agitation: 50 - 400 rpm, ± 2 rpm. 1" (2.54cm) orbit. Uniform temperature control provided by self-correcting microprocessor feedback control and tightly constructed chamber. High-velocity fans ensure rapid thermal recovery. Temperature and speed can be calibrated via keypad. Large viewing window in top-opening lid provides clear chamber visibility minimizing the need to open the chamber. RS-232 provided for data logging.
Safety features include automatic cut out of shaker when lid is opened to protect operator and fail-safe thermostat that turns off heat if high-temperature limit is exceeded to protect cultures. Four adjustable feet absorb vibration and help stabilize the workload for smooth and dependable shaking. Accessory platforms are interchangeable with those from other same-sized NBS shakers.
