Eppendorf Multiporator modular system makes the electroporation of eukaryotic cells, bacteria and other microorganisms, as well as the electrofusion of cells possible.

Applications:

  • Transfection of animal and human cell lines, embryonic stem cells, primary cells and plant protoplasts
  • Transformation of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, yeasts and other microorganisms (with integrated bacteria module)
Eukaryotic Module
Application: Electroporation of animal and human cell lines, primary cells, plant cells, and oocytes
Pulse voltage: 20–1,200 V
Time constant: 15–500 µs, in 5 µs increments
Bacteria Module
Area of application: Electroporation of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, and yeast
Pulse voltage: 200–2,500 V
Time constant: 5 ms (nominal)
Fusion Module
Area of application: Electrofusion of mammalian cells, plant cells, and oocytes
Pulse voltage: 5-300 V
Time range: 0–30 sec. before and after pulses

Electrical: 100 V-240 V/50 Hz-60 Hz
