Amresco's RIPA cell lysis buffer is used for total cell lysis, protein solubilization and is compatible with many applications, including reporter assays, protein assays, immunoassays and protein purification. RIPA buffer contains the nonionic detergent, Nonidet® P-40 Substitute, plus two ionic detergents, sodium deoxycholate and SDS. Simply resuspend cells in cold RIPA Lysis Buffer, incubate on ice, and then pass the cells through a pipette several times. Pellet the cellular debris and transfer the cell lysate to a fresh microcentrifuge tube.
