General Navigation and Use

Access to the various parts of the site are available on the buttons, tabs and the menu bar that appear towards the top of the window. Click on each to be directed to the labeled location. Also use our search function on the left side to most easily direct you towards product information. If you are a registered user, please login to activate more features of the site. More detailed instructions and information on website functions are available below. Here is a quick overview of the common links:

Searching the Catalog

There are many ways to get product information on our site. The most common is through our Search. The Search module appears on the left side of the window. Enter keywords or part numbers and click Go! You may get three types of matches.

Web page matches : These are products in our catalog that contain or relate to the information that you submitted in your search. Clicking on the links will bring up detailed product and ordering information.

Non-catalog matches : These are products in our database that are not in our catalog. You can request additional information on these products by contacting us.

Category matches : These are categories that may be relevant to what you're searching for. Often you can find similar products grouped in the same category.

Browsing the Catalog

By selecting the Browse Catalog tab you are browsing through the items in the catalog sorted by categories. Each link you select gives you more specific results, ultimately to a product page. Through this method you can find a selection of products that may be similar or a match to what you are looking for.

Ordering / Quotes

There are three basic methods to order : Add items from the product page, add items in Qwik Order, or add items from My Favorites. By clicking on the price link on product pages next to the item you want , you add the item to your shopping basket. You can also manually enter Krackeler Scientific part numbers on the Qwik Order page. These items get added to the basket as well. My Favorites works similarly and is explained below. Items can be deleted and their quantities changed in the Shopping Basket. Once you are satisfied with the items in your Shopping Basket, you can continue to the Checkout page to complete your order. On the checkout page you can include any special requests or instructions in the Additional Information section. Click on Submit Order and your request will come to us. We will contact you with an acknowledgement.

Submitting a quote request is nearly identical to submitting an order. You proceed as if you were placing an order. To request a quote only for ALL the items in your Shopping Basket, click the "Submit As Quotation" button at the bottom of the checkout page. NONE of the items on your order will be placed, instead it will be considered a Quote Request. If you have a mix of items you want to order and request quotes on, please submit separate requests.

My Favorites

Favorites is a way for our customers to place items that are ordered frequently into their shopping basket without having to re-search every time they want to purchase them. My Favorites has two main components: Templates and Items.

My Favorites Templates

Everybody starts with a "Default" template.

Templates are flexible. You can have as many templates as you want with as many items as you want in each template. All items that you add to My Favorites automatically is added to your Default template first. You can either copy or move items to other templates that you've created.

You can open a template by selecting the one you wish to open from the dropdown box at the top of the screen. Click the "Open Template" button to open this template.

Creating / Deleting / Changing the name of Templates

Template management is accessed through the Template Settings link.

To create a new template, type the name of the new template and click Create Template. Repeat for as many new templates that you need.

To delete a template, choose the template in the drop down box and click Delete Template. Once a template has been deleted, there is no way to recover it.

To rename a template, choose the template from the list you want to change, type the new name, and click Rename Template.

Adding / Removing My Favorite Items

You can add items to your Favorites in a couple of ways.

If you have items in your shopping basket, click on the Add link in the Favorites column next to the item.

Go to the "You can add items to your favorite here" section on the My Favorites page. Type in a Krackeler Catalog Number here, and click on the "Add To Favorites" button.

To remove an item from your Favorites, mark the checkbox to the left of the item(s) you want to remove. Then click the "Delete Selected Items" button to the lower right of the item section.

Adding items from My Favorites to your Shopping Basket

To add a Favorite item to your basket, open the template that contains the item(s) you want to add. Enter the quantity you want to order in the Quantity box, then click on the red "Add To Basket" button.

Copying / Moving items to other templates

To move an item to another template, mark the checkbox to the left of the item(s) you want to move. Choose the destination template from the drop-down box to the right. Then click the "Move Selected Items" button to complete the move.

To copy an item to another template, mark the checkbox to the left of the item(s) you want to copy. Choose the destination template from the drop-down box to the right. Then click the "Copy Selected Items" button to complete the copy.

Frequently Asked Questions

I've searched your site extensively with all types of part numbers and phraseology, why can't I find a specific product?

Krackeler Scientific represents hundreds of manufacturers and suppliers, which add up to hundreds of thousands of products. Our catalog represents an excellent sampling of these products, and we endeavor to frequently review and add products that may be of interest to you. Of course, you can always suggest products you would like to see. We can also supply items that are not listed online or even items that are not part of our normal product lines. Please contact us and let us know what you need and we'll get back to you with pricing and availability.

The price of a product is $0.00. Is this item free?

No, the item is not free. Items that are either discontinued or require that we get back to you with the most current pricing are $0.00 priced. We will contact you with more information when this occurs.

I would like a quote on a product or a list of products, how do I get one?

You would proceed with your shopping as if you were going to place the order. Go to the checkout page and click "Submit As Quotation" at the bottom of the checkout page. We will not process any of the items in your basket as an order, but please fill out any additional information that we would need to contact you.

I have gotten a quote for items from Krackeler Scientific, how do I let you know I've obtained special pricing?

When you are ready to Checkout, provided us with the quote number in the comments box. We'll verify and apply any special pricing. You will get an acknowledgement with all the current pricing.

I have forgotten my password for Krackeler Scientific, how can I reset my password?

To have your password reset and emailed to you, click on the "Login" button at the top of the page. Click on the "Forgot Password" button on the login page. Enter your email address and click "Submit". Your account will be assigned a new random password, which will then be emailed to you. When you get the new password, login to "My Account" and change your password to something you can remember.
